I FEEL THAT MY EXPERIENCE ECHOES thousands of people around the world (as I have met many of them). When I was young with zero experience, Peter set me on the path to becoming a documentary filmmaker. He seemed to treat me as an equal despite the fact I knew nothing about anything. I was his intern, and my job seemed to be to unlock the secrets of his teachings. He spoke in a mysterious manner: everything was a riddle, or a play on words, or a metaphor. It was like talking to Socrates. That was 16 years ago, and I’m still an apprentice who can barely keep up. I miss him tremendously.
