Emmy Nominees for Documentary and Nonfiction

Four docs lead the pack with five nominations each

Four documentaries lead the field in the non-fiction categories for this year’s Emmy nominations. Lucy and Desi  topped with six nominations, while The Beatles: Get Back, George Carlin’s American Dream, and Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy each received five nominations. All four were nominated for direction, while Get Back is a nominee in the series category and George Carlin’s American Dream and Lucy and Desi are nominated in the documentary or non-fiction special race, while Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy is up for outstanding hosted series. On their heels are The Andy Warhol Diaries and The Tinder Swindler with four nominations each.
