Come See Me in the Good Light continues to dominate the Hot Docs Audience Award rankings. The film directed by Ryan White holds the top spot for the fourth day in a row after debuting at number one on Sunday. Come See Me in the Good Night offers an intimate window into the lives of poets and partners Andrea Gibson and Megan Falley after the former receives a terminal cancer diagnosis and savours each additional day of life. The festival circuit favourite has two more screenings at Hot Docs this weekend and has been tough to beat as the festival hits its midpoint.

Also holding strong is runner-up 9-Month Contract. The documentary directed by Ketevan Vashagashvili offers a portrait of a young Georgian woman who rents her womb as a surrogate. It has one more screening on May 1. 2000 Meters in Andriivka fell one spot following its encore screening, while Antidote held at number four. Meanwhile, while Saints and Warriors climbed one notch, but stayed at number two in the Canadian awards race. It’s sandwiched between two mystery titles, presumably Endless Cookie and The Gardener and the Dictator based on their screening and reception in the early half of the festival. The Rogers Audience Award carries a cash prize of $50,000 for the top Canadian feature.

New titles on the list include some of Hot Docs bigger tickets, including Apocalypse in the Tropics and Assembly, which debut at 17 and 19, respectively.
