Please Join Us for a Special National Canadian Film Day Event!

As Canada prepares for a new milestone this year, POV Magazine celebrates by saluting the national art form: documentary! In the new Spring issue ‘The Stories We Tell’, POV highlights ten must-see short docs and feature-length docs to note some of the many titles that have shaped the history of Canadian docs.

To launch this issue, we invite readers to join us for a special National Canadian Film Day event that brings together some of the nation’s top figures in the community to discuss Canada’s must-see docs in a larger conversation about all things documentary.

Panelists include director Hubert Davis (Hardwood, Giants of Africa), producer Rina Fraticelli (Forbidden Love: The Unashamed Stories of Lesbian Lives, Being Caribou), producer Anita Lee (Stories We Tell, The Apology) and filmmaker/writer Kevin McMahon (Spaceship Earth, The National Parks Project) in a conversation moderated by POV editor Marc Glassman.

Join the debate: what is Canada’s hottest doc?

Where: Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema (506 Bloor St. West)
