Grace Jones kicked off the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival in style last night. The iconic Jamaican model/singer turned the Elgin Theatre into a runway when she strutted into town for the world premiere of Grace Jones: Bloodlight and Bami, which was the opening night selection for the TIFF Docs programme at the festival this year. The energetic and enigmatic Jones is a force to be reckoned with in this electric music doc from director Sophie Fiennes. The intimate film follows Jones from Jamaica to France as she reveals personal details of her life in between showstopping musical performances that spotlight her phenomenal stage presence and eccentric style.
