There were so many Little Monsters on King Street last night that my phone couldn’t get reception. Lady Gaga turned the Visa Screening Room at the Princess of Wales Theatre into the House of Gaga Friday night with the world premiere of her new documentary Gaga: Five Foot Two at the Toronto International Film Festival. Gaga brought the house down with a badass and bone-chilling rendition of “Bad Romance” before the screening, and showed off her pipes with a stripped back version of the song played with only a piano and ample spunk. Ironically, the TIFF Special event for the Netflix documentary is one of the best examples one could find at the festival in terms of the value of a live experience enjoyed on the big screen and in a packed house with roaring fans. (Check back soon for a review!)
