Kickstarter – the world’s largest funding platform for creative projects – will launch in Canada later this summer! Over $150 million has been pledged to more than 10,000 successfully-funded film & video projects through Kickstarter. Join DOC Toronto on August 8 to explore what this means for the local documentary industry and get your questions answered by Kickstarter’s Film Program Director, Elisabeth Holm, and DOC’s Executive Director, Lisa Fitzgibbons.

Questions that will be addressed at the session include: What are the elements of running a creative and successful documentary project on Kickstarter? Which docs have been funded and what were their campaign strategies? How can Kickstarter be utilized to grow and engage your audience? What are the implications of the crowdfunding finance model on the Canadian documentary landscape?

For full details and to register for the session, visit DOC Toronto’s website.
