By Pat Mullen
The Documentary Organization of Canada (DOC) and Friends of Canadian Broadcasting are working together to Tell Our Stories. The series launches on March 16 and features five short documentaries that share the voices and experiences of diverse Canadians. Each short comes from a different director. The five docs are The Out-of-the-Way-Dwellers by Louise Abbott, Summerside Kitchen Party by Louise Lalonde, Down with the King by Ryan Sidhoo, Revitalizing Untold Stories of Traditional Indigenous Foods by Taina da Silva, and Eayila by Rafäel Beauchamp. The five documentaries draw upon the lives of everyday people to impart the value of recording our history through film.
